Valeriya is a passionate media professional specializing in news, politics and entertainment production.

Valeriya is currently studying telecommunication news and political science at the University of Florida. Valeriya is a reporter at the Independent Florida Alligator and WUFT News, an affiliate station of PBS and NPR. Working to hone a multifaceted media skill set, she also works on the television production crew and digital news production team at WUFT News, and serves as the Marketing Director of Strike Magazine. Passionate about the impact of media in connecting us and empowering our democracy, Valeriya is pursuing a career in the media industry where she can engage her curiosity and make a meaningful impact.
